PDF Files
PDF is an acronym for Portable Document Format. It is a
document format that allows users to share files regardless of
the type of computer or operating system that is being used.
Accordingly, files on this web site that are intended for
download or printing by end users are formatted as PDF files.
Adobe invented the PDF format, and provides a program free of
charge, Adobe Acrobat
Reader, which will allow you to read and print PDF files.
You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader, and install it on your
PC by clicking on the link below.

Printing PDF Files (back to top)
When you click on a link to a PDF file, the file will open in
your browser using Acrobat Reader as an add-in program. To
print the file on your local printer, click on the printer icon,
as shown in the diagram below:
After clicking on print, a new window will appear allowing
for various printing options as shown below. Be sure to
click on "Auto-Rotate and Center", and set Page Scaling
to either None, or Fit To Paper. Auto-Rotate and
Center will make sure the page is correctly set for Portrait or
Landscape mode. Setting Page Scaling to None, will provide
a 100% reproduction of the page that is being printed, while
setting it to Fit To Paper might scale the output down slightly
to ensure it will fit on the size paper you are using. In
most cases, leave Page Scaling set to None, unless the printed
output is too large to fit on your paper.

League Standings (back to top)
An explanation of the
League Standings sheet is contained herein. Each of
the columns shown on the sheet is described below:
Date Columns - In the dated columns
are the points that were earned each week. Determination
of the points earned is done in accordance with the
Match Point Scoring System used by the ATL.
Total Column - Shows the total
points accumulated by adding up the points earned by a team each
week.
Percent Column - Shown on the
League Standings page
is the total number of points accumulated by a team, divided by
the total number of points the team could have earned if it had
won all of its matches in the fewest number of sets possible.
In other words, each match there are 5 lines worth a maximum of
5 points each. So, a team could garner up to 25 points
each week that it plays. So Percent is the accumulation of
actual points earned, divided by 25 times the number of weeks
played.
League Standings or Rank - Calculated
based on the Total Points accumulated by each team as the
season progresses. When you look at the
League
Standings section of the web site, you will notice on the
right side of the standings page that the team with the highest
number of cumulative points is ranked No. 1. Likewise, the
team with the lowest points is ranked last. In the event
of a tie, both teams are ranked the same, and listed
alphabetically. Further, if for example 3 teams tie for
7th place then the next team will be ranked 10th because the 3
tied teams in essence fill 7th, 8th and 9th places.
